Privacy Policy

Fuel Log — Economy Tracker

This privacy policy explains how Fuel Log — Economy Tracker (the “App”) handles your information. The short version: your data stays on your device. The App has no accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers, and no cloud database. The App is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter in the App is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:

  • Vehicle information — makes, models, aliases, colors, fuel types, and odometer readings you add.
  • Fuel entries — dates, amounts, costs, odometer values, and notes for your fill-ups.
  • Maintenance reminders — tasks, due dates, and due mileage you configure.
  • App settings — language, units, theme, and notification preferences.

We — the developer — have no access to any of this data. There is no account to create and no server that receives your entries.

What we do NOT collect

  • No name, email address, or phone number.
  • No location data.
  • No advertising identifiers — the App contains no ads.
  • No usage analytics or behavioral tracking.
  • No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.

In-app purchases

The App offers an optional one-time premium unlock. Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play; we never see your payment details. To deliver and restore the purchase, our purchase-management provider RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt together with a random, anonymous app user ID. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or any real-world identity.

Notifications

Refuel and maintenance reminders are optional local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data leaves your device.

Exports and sharing

You can export your data as PDF reports, Excel workbooks, or CSV files. Exports are generated on your device and shared only through the share destination you choose (email, cloud drive, messaging app, etc.). Once shared, the receiving service's privacy policy applies.

Update checks

To let you know when a new version is available, the App may query the public App Store / Google Play listing for its latest version number. This request contains no personal data beyond the standard network information (such as your IP address) inherent to any internet request.

Data retention and deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control. You can delete individual vehicles or entries in the App at any time, and uninstalling the App permanently removes all of its data from your device. We hold nothing on our side to delete.

Children

The App is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
